Jadea Kelly

Described by CBC as 'one of the shining jewels in the crown of Canadian songwriters' Jadea Kelly spends her time writing and living between Toronto and Los Angeles CA. In 2016 she was awarded 'Contemporary Singer of the Year' at the Canadian Folk Music Awards for her heartfelt 2016 release 'Love & Lust'. Its featured single 'Beauty' was placed on the Lifetime Network feature 'No One Would Tell' and the 2017 CBC Rio Paralympics, an opening montage with over 900,000 views. Set for release on May 17, 2019, the MWI soundtrack EP has already received 'Best Score & Music' accolades from the Hollywood Independent Documentary Awards. MWI is the official soundtrack for 'Met While Incarcerated the Film', airing on the Documentary Channel and CBC March 31 2019.

Producer “AMAZING GRACE”

David Kalmusky is a Record Producer / Guitarist / Engineer / Mixer / Songwriter, who is a 3rd Generation Canadian musician. David’s multi Platinum career, includes working  with the likes of Justin Bieber, Journey, Shawn Mendes, Meghan Trainor, Tenille Townes, Nashville Tv Show, Keith Urban, John Oates, Vince Gill, and many others. His Studio “Addiction Sound Studios” which he partners with Jonathan Cain (The Baby’s, Bad English, Journey) designed by Chris Huston (Led Zeppelin, The Who) is one of the top rated private studios in Nashville, TN, and perhaps North America. 

 

David became friends with Jadea, while she was renting his guest house apartment, living and writing songs in Nashville. Being a fellow Canadian music maker, they fell into many of the same circles, had written together, and often discussed finding something to work on together. When the opportunity to cut a version of “Amazing Grace” for the film “Met While Incarcerated”, Jadea reached out to David, and they joined forces in the studio in late 2017 to create this contribution to the film’s soundtrack.
